A New Way to Surf

When 3D printing and surfing come together.

In July of 2021, I set out on a quest to combine two of my biggest interests - 3D Printing and Surfing. I wanted to push the limit on my SolidWorks skills, while challenging the traditional ideas of 3D printing and surfboard shaping. Five months later, and after clocking a staggering 10 days of total printer run time, I was able to glue together my 6’2” shortboard having used nothing but a 3D printer and 4 rolls of filament. With all that said, I still need to work out a way to glass this thing so I can use it. Scroll through the gallery below to get a glimpse of the process from start to finish.
